Providing safe and reliable dental IV sedation for anxious patients since 2003 in Utah
Our mission is to maintain the highest standards of care with minimal necessary medication for comfort.
Designed for patients with anxiety, gag reflex sensitivity, or medical issues to ensure comfort
DreamWorld Anesthesia Inc. has been providing quality dental IV sedations, without the need for intubation, for the Utah community since 2003. In-office anesthesia is specifically designed for patients that are anxious, fearful, apprehensive, unable to cooperate, have gag reflex sensitivity or co-existing medical issues. IV sedation is provided by a separate provider and is a convenient and cost-effective option that provides safe and reliable results. Our mission is to follow the highest standards of care with the use of minimal necessary medication to keep the patient comfortable while giving the dentist ideal working conditions for the highest quality results. Designed for patients with anxiety, gag reflex sensitivity, or medical issues to ensure comfort
Anesthesia safety is our main priority and we work closely with your dental and medical providers when necessary. When the need for sedation is identified, a plan will be formed that may include obtaining tests, labs or medical clearances to ensure safety.
When there are no medical concerns, you will receive a phone call from the anesthetist the night before your procedure. He will go over your medical history, instructions and answer any questions.
The day of the procedure, you will be asked to sign all necessary forms and consents, and you will meet your anesthetist. You may receive an anti-nausea pre-medication, will be asked to use the bathroom and then taken to the procedure room.
• Listen to your heart and lungs
• Start the small intravenous (IV) catheter
• Provide oxygen via nasal cannula
• Place appropriate monitors including: EKG, blood pressure, Oxygen Saturation, end-tidal CO2 and place appropriate cushions and a blanket.
The IV medications are delivered via a small pump that can be titrated to effect and provide a literally pain-free and memory-free dentistry. Your anesthetist will remain at your bedside throughout the entire procedure monitoring and adjusting the level of sedation. When your procedure has concluded, the medication pump will be turned off and you will be allowed to recover. You will go home after you are assessed to be completely stable.
